S. B. Taulbee spends her days protecting computers and her nights emotionally torturing fictional characters. Based in the Detroit area, she lives with her partner and two black cats, Bethany and Carver, who are firmly convinced they are in charge (they are).

Her writing career began with her high school’s newspaper, Lock, Stock, & Barrel, and never really stopped. After participating in Anderson University’s newsletter, she discovered that while researching facts is fascinating, writing fiction lets her spend more time with imaginary people and less time tracking down real ones.

Today, she writes science fiction, fantasy, action, adventure, and romance, and is steadily building a growing collection of works in progress. When she’s not writing, she’s usually reading, gaming, or disappearing down research rabbit holes that somehow turn a simple question into fourteen open browser tabs and three hours of historical trivia.
